Hello! Here TakNof telling you guys the recent done update.
Additions:
- Cacodemon attack and hurt animations!
- Cacodemon hurt sound!
- Optimizations of the code using better attributes.
- New weapons added! Due the classes implemented adding even more weapons will be easier than ever! (If I've the sprites of course)
Fixes:
- The winning condition was delayed if the last enemy was killed while had shot a projectile, revealing the winning screen until that projectile gets destroyed by impact. Now the win condition works when the last enemy is killed.
Bugs:
- Some times the colliders won't load correctly when playing, making the enemies and the player immortal, for now reload the game until it works.
Posible solution to the bug:
- Make the collider optimizations of the different elements of the game. Currently, the colliders of all objects are constantly checking for collitions, thing that is not pretty optimal, because the game is checking for collitions of objects way far from the enemies and player. I'm currently working in a "radial collition detection" to improve performance and to solve the colliders issue.
Things that will be coming in the next update:
- The whole menu functions.
- A pause menu where you can control the graphical quality and the volume of SFX and music.
- A tutorial for the people new to the game.
- More weapons!
- More enemies!
- Introduction of the mechanic of ammunition in the game.
- More vivid and intresting textures of the walls, ceiling and floor.
- Many more things!
